Christmas Vacation!

We were able to experience one of our own Christmas Vacation moments. This year Geoff and I decided we should start a family tradition with Allison. We thought it would be really fun to go and pick out a real tree for our home. We went, picked out a tree, brought it home and admired its beauty. All was wonderful until one day when I was hanging out with Allison on the couch and to my left, in slow motion, I see our tree fall to the ground! My reaction was priceless....I just laughed outloud! So, my husband worked hard to try and solve the problem and place it back in the perfect tree corner. Not days later did we return home and find our tree in the middle of our living room. Geoff tried to fix the situation one more time and it did not work, so needless to say we are done with that tradition. Here are a few pics of our family with the real tree. You will also notice that Alli was not to into picking out a real tree either!!

Aubrey Photos

Aubrey Get Together

Then on to Aubrey where we got to hangout with my dad, Darla, and Shrimp. My dad threw a great little family get together so that all of the great grandparents and great Aunt's and Uncles could meet my little bean. It was wonderful and we felt so blessed for so many people to come over and hangout with us. I must also say that for her first car ride, she did amazing!! She slept the whole way!!! I also think that she was pretty exhausted because on the way home she also slept the whole way again. We know allow her to wear a cape that says, "SUPER BABY!!!!" Enjoy the photos of my wonderful family.

Thanksgiving Fun

On Thanksgiving Day we went over to my mom's house and we had a great time. Geoff's parents were there, Amy was there, and of course my mom and her friend Jay were there. Dinner was wonderful and family was even better. Allison had a great time hanging out with all of the family. I think we I enjoyed everyone loving on her because it ultimately made her tired and allowed her to sleep nice and long for us when we left out to head for DENTON! Alli's first road trip!

Allison Kate Has Arrived!

On September 29, 2009 at 2:09pm Allison Kate was born into this world. It was one of the hardest but yet most rewarding things that I have ever done. I was blessed by only being in labor for 5 hours but it was still hard. I went in to labor around 9 am (at school :) ) and by the time I made it to the hospital I was already 6 cm and then before you know it she was here.

Giving life is truly a miracle that is indescribable. I sat in the hospital bed with my new 8 lb 9oz baby and asked myself, "How could anyone, who has ever had a child, not believe in the works of Jesus? She is a true blessing. I never thought I could love someone the way I love her. I can't wait to show her to the world.

Here is the scripture that we picked for our darling little girl. Psalms 139:13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.

Enjoy the Photos

Love,
Kristin, Geoff, and Allison

The Best Doggone Birthday Party...

Our neighbors John and Tami brought over their two chocolate labs, Moose and Emma, along with some homemade doggie birthday cake. We celebrated Moose's birthday and Buster's upcoming birthday. Needless to say, the dogs enjoyed themselves!

I look like a basketball

Here are a few prego photos of me at 32 weeks. I think you can tell that I am pregnant now:)

3 D Photos of Allison

Geoff and I were able to get 3D photos of Allison and they are soooo cute! I will say that she is going to be stubborn like her Uncle Freddy. She had no desire to move her hands from out in front of her face. Finally she did and all I can say is that a 3D image is just crazy!

Allison Kate's Room is Complete

Here is her room painted and her letters MATHEMATICALLY hung!

Baby Shower- Pink Explosion!

Bailey All Dressed Up

Bailey, my in-laws boxer, got the once of a life time opportunity this past weekend. She got selected to play dress up. Needless to say I don't think she really cared for it but I thought she looked beautiful!!

Life's Crazy

Life has been quite crazy lately. My mom moved in with us a week or so ago and she brought her two big dogs. Now anyone who knows us already is aware that we have 2 big dogs, so that makes for 3 adults and 4 big dogs that believe the outdoors are only for going to the bathroom. Please keep in mind that one of those adults is 7 months pregnant and I will give you a hint, it's not my mom! So, I guess I should ask for prayers to help get through this crazy time. I will also go on and say that my mom was able to sell her house in one day and that was a huge blessing!

Camryn's Laugh is Precious

Awhile back when the whole family was out at my dad's house, Camryn, my precious niece, became very excited over this horse game that my dad, her paw paw, would play with her on the computer. Watch the video and enjoy the cuteness of her laugh. Whoever thought that looking at horses on the computer could be so exciting!

Fishing and Breakfast

Fishing Fun!

Every time Geoff and I go to my dad's there are two things that I look forward to: Fishing and eating breakfast at Betty's with my dad! My dad is the kind of dad that can do anything he puts his mind to. He wants to be a Calf Roper....then he'll do it. If he wants to hunt....then he'll do it. If he wants something built...then he'll build it. He rarely uses instructions but yet some how things always come out right. Impressive! So, I love to go and just watch and observe all the things he does that are so successful.
One of my favorite things to do is to go out on the boat, one that some may not think of as fancy, but my dad sure does, and go fishing.

This past Spring Break, Geoff and I got to do exactly that! My dad took us out to Lake Ray Roberts and we dropped our lines in. We weren't really expecting to catch many fish, if any, and definitely not a record setting fish. Well, after about 30 minutes into our great fishing trip Geoff, out of all people, says, "I think I got something" about that time my dad and I turned around and boy did he catch something. This fish was pullin and tuggin on the line so hard that we were certain the line was going to break. My dad quickly grabbed a fishing net and Geoff glided the fish in so my dad could scoop up this Large Mouth Bass. Shock doesn't even begin what I was feeling when I saw that fish get pulled out of the water. My first thought is Holly Cow that it one large fish, my second thought was Geoff really caught that? I could see if it was my dad but my darling husband has only been fishing a total of 3 maybe 4 times.

I will never forget my dad saying that if this was a fishing competition then right now Geoff would be able to say, "I got this one in the bag". All in all, this made for one exciting story and have no fears because I was there with my camera in hand! This world record setting fish was let go but it was estimated to weigh about 15lbs. GO FISHERMAN GEOFF!

The next morning, as usual, my dad and I rode down to Betty's around 6:30 or 7 and had ourselves a real nice breakfast. It's not so much the food that I love as much as just hanging out with my dad. I do believe its the simple things in life that make it worth living. I try my hardest to live for the little moments. I know I won't always have them, so I want to make the most of them while their here. Needless to say, I am very proud of who my dad is and what all he is able to accomplish.

Can Playing the Wii Be Dangerous?

I have always heard the horror stories of people ruining their nice Flat Screens by playing the wii, but little did I ever believe that I could come close to witnessing something that crazy. All of these thoughts changed this past Spring Break when Geoff and I went and visited my silly dad. First, my dad playing the wii was very exciting in itself but what I saw next I could have ever imagne! I really think the video says it best. All I can say is that when my dad comes to visit me this weekend, I will not be allowing him near our WII! I am also glad that he didn't take one more step. ENJOY! I hope it makes you smile.
